Pharmacy Services Physical Health

Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced provider to deliver physical health pharmacy services across Gloucestershire.

The contract will cover pharmacy support across community, outpatient, rehabilitation, intermediate care and inpatient physical healthcare services. Requirements include medicines management and optimisation, clinical pharmacy input, medicines reconciliation, prescribing support, governance, staff training, audit and specialist pharmaceutical advice.

Providers will need to demonstrate suitable healthcare pharmacy experience, strong clinical governance and medicines safety arrangements, an appropriate workforce and the ability to operate across multiple care settings.

Social Value: 10%

Quality assessment will include clinical pharmacy services, medicines supply, dispensing and stock management, patient access and service delivery. Social value will be assessed using the TOMs methodology.

The procurement will use an Open Procedure, with SMEs identified as particularly suitable for the opportunity.

This represents a significant long-term NHS pharmacy services contract for providers capable of delivering comprehensive pharmaceutical support across Gloucestershire’s physical healthcare pathways.
