Open Light Touch Framework for Independent and Alternative Education Support for Children and Young People in Devon

Devon County Council is reopening its framework for independent and alternative education support for children and young people across Devon.

The framework covers education placements for children and young people with SEND and Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), alongside bespoke alternative education provision.

Lots Available

• Lot 1a – Pre-16 Education Placements: Independent and specialist education placements for children and young people with SEND and an EHCP.
• Lot 1b – Post-16 Education Placements: Independent post-16 and specialist college placements for young people with SEND and an EHCP.
• Lot 2a – Alternative Education Provision (EOTAS): Bespoke provision forming part of an Education Otherwise Than At School package specified within an EHCP.
• Lot 2b – Alternative Education Provision (Reintegration): Bespoke support helping children and young people reintegrate into school or move to another education setting.

The framework has no maximum number of suppliers. New providers can apply at future entry points, while successful existing providers will generally transfer onto subsequent framework periods automatically.

Placements and packages may be awarded through mini-competition or direct award. Appointment to the framework does not guarantee any level of business.
