Online Harms Digital Youth Work Pilot Programme

The Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime, through the London Violence Reduction Unit (VRU), is seeking delivery partners for an Online Harms Digital Youth Work Pilot Programme supporting children and young people aged 11–25 across London.

The programme will test digital youth work approaches designed to improve engagement, strengthen early intervention and safeguarding, and create positive opportunities for young people in digital environments.

Lots

Lot 1 – Supporting high-need and digitally dependent young people
Digital youth work for young people facing barriers to traditional provision, particularly those with SEND, neurodiverse needs or higher levels of digital dependency.

Lot 2 – Early intervention and prevention of online harms
Approaches focused on identifying, preventing and responding to online harms, vulnerabilities and online-to-offline risks.

Lot 3 – Universal digital youth work and positive opportunities
Digital youth work promoting connection, creativity, participation and positive opportunities for children and young people.

Providers can apply for one, two or all three lots, either individually or through partnerships or consortia.

Evaluation Criteria

Quality: 100%

The procurement will use an Open Procedure under the Light Touch regime. SMEs and voluntary, community and social enterprises (VCSEs) are identified as particularly suitable for all three lots.

The opportunity provides youth work, digital engagement and safeguarding organisations with the opportunity to help develop and test new approaches to digital youth work across London.
