Oxfordshire County Council is seeking a provider to deliver an early mental health prevention offer for primary school-aged children and their families.
The service is intended to strengthen the ability of school staff to support children’s mental wellbeing as part of a whole-school approach to mental health.
Under the requirement, staff will be supported to develop the confidence needed to lead mental wellbeing sessions for children, using appropriate language and techniques.
The service will include a professional development programme for school staff alongside ongoing support designed to help schools embed the approach throughout the curriculum.
The Mental Health Primary Schools Offer will focus on early prevention and supporting schools to develop their approach to children’s mental wellbeing.
