Family Finding Programme Rollout

The Department for Education has launched a procurement for the Family Finding Programme Rollout, seeking a provider to deliver and embed an evidence-based Family Finding model across eligible local authorities in England.

The successful provider will support local authorities by providing leadership, training, technical support and quality assurance to enable the sustainable implementation of the Family Finding programme. The aim is to help local authorities embed the model into everyday practice while maintaining quality and consistency across participating areas.

The programme will be delivered across multiple regions of England, including the North East, North West, East Midlands, West Midlands, East of England, South East, South West and London.

Deadline: 4 August 2026, 12:00pm

Contract Value: £7,000,000 excluding VAT (£8,400,000 including VAT)

Delivery Length: 1 October 2026 to 31 March 2028, with the option to extend for one further year to 31 March 2029

Service Overview

The successful provider will be responsible for:

  • Delivering an evidence-based Family Finding model across eligible local authorities.
  • Providing leadership to support implementation.
  • Delivering training and technical support.
  • Providing quality assurance to ensure consistent delivery.
  • Supporting local authorities to embed the programme sustainably within existing practice.

Evaluation Criteria

The procurement will be evaluated using a Price Per Quality Point methodology.

The Department for Education has confirmed that technical questions carry allocated weightings, with the total tender price divided by the quality score to determine the final evaluation outcome.

The procurement is being conducted using an Open Procedure under the Light Touch Regime.

  • North East England
  • North West England
  • East Midlands
  • West Midlands
  • East of England
  • South East England
  • South West England
  • London
