Community Information System Renewal (WCCIS Replacement)

NHS Wales is seeking a supplier for a new Community Information System to replace the existing Wales Community Care Information System (WCCIS).

Hywel Dda University Health Board will lead the contract on behalf of Betsi Cadwaladr, Cwm Taf Morgannwg and Swansea Bay University Health Boards, with NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership managing the procurement.

The requirement is for a secure, cloud-ready and interoperable digital care record platform supporting community health, mental health and social care services. Key requirements include mobile working, multidisciplinary care planning, reporting, data migration and integration with national and local health and care systems.

The system will initially support services including Health Visiting, School Nursing, Children’s Community Nursing, Safeguarding and Community Nursing, with scope for future expansion.

Suppliers will need to demonstrate implementation and data migration capability alongside appropriate cyber security, information governance and NHS Wales Digital Architecture alignment.

The procurement represents a major digital health opportunity to provide shared infrastructure supporting integrated community care services across multiple NHS Wales organisations.
