Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) is seeking an organisation to deliver a rolling programme of face-to-face Clinical Assessment Skills (CAS) training for pharmacist prescribers across Wales.
The programme will be available to both newly qualified and existing workforce independent prescribers, regardless of their sector of practice, and will be delivered across three geographical lots covering North Wales, South East Wales and South West Wales.
The successful provider will be required to deliver between three and four full-day CAS training sessions per region each year, covering three to four key clinical areas. One session for each clinical topic will be delivered within each geographical region.
Each session will accommodate a maximum of 15 learners and will require at least eight registered participants to proceed. HEIW reserves the right to cancel planned events where fewer than eight learners are registered, with cancellations potentially taking place seven to ten days before the scheduled session.

The overall estimated contract value across the three lots is £100,000 excluding VAT.

NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership, hosted by Velindre University NHS Trust, is managing the procurement on behalf of HEIW.
The opportunity provides training organisations with the potential to support the ongoing clinical development of pharmacist prescribers across Wales through a structured programme of face-to-face assessment skills training.
