Bedford Borough Council has awarded a contract for the delivery of its Temporary Accommodation Support Service, appointing Connection Support to provide support focused on tenancy sustainability, homelessness prevention and supported move-on.
The service will deliver support across temporary accommodation with a focus on multi-tenure support, helping residents sustain their tenancies, prevent homelessness and move on to longer-term accommodation.
The contract has been awarded with a total value of £1,618,227.51 including VAT.
The initial contract is expected to run from 21 September 2026 until 20 September 2029, with the option to extend for a further two years in 12-month instalments, potentially taking the contract through to 20 September 2031.
A total of 10 tenders were received, with eight suppliers progressing to the final assessment stage. The procurement was conducted using the Open Procedure under the Light Touch Regime.
