Published on 3 August, the resource is designed to support services in ensuring staff are recruited appropriately and in line with current guidance, helping organisations maintain their commitment to keeping people safe.

The self-evaluation tool enables providers to assess how well their current recruitment processes are working, identify areas for improvement and support ongoing quality improvement across their service.

The Care Inspectorate says the resource is intended to help services reflect on their safer recruitment arrangements and strengthen safeguarding through robust recruitment practices.

The tool is now available to download from the Care Inspectorate website.
