NHS Highland Awards Adult Social Care Bespoke Services Contracts

NHS Highland has awarded contracts for the delivery of three Adult Social Care Bespoke Services in Inverness, covering hospital discharge support, overnight care for older adults and waking night support for younger adults with care needs.

The procurement was divided into three lots and awarded to collaborations of providers selected from existing frameworks following an expression of interest process.

The combined value of the awarded contracts is £1,544,168 excluding VAT.

Inverness Enhanced Responder Service (ERS)

Lot 1 covers an adult social care service delivered by a collaboration of registered care providers to support individuals being discharged from hospital.

Providers appointed to the service are:

• Gateway – Highland Homeless Trust
  • The Lifeways Group
  • Richmond Fellowship Scotland

The contract has a value of £250,830 excluding VAT.

Inverness Overnight Service (SOS)

Lot 2 covers an adult social care service providing overnight care to older adults living in their own homes.

Providers appointed to the service are:

• Castle Care (Scotland) Ltd
  • Gateway – Highland Homeless Trust
  • Eildon Ltd

The contract has a value of £259,890 excluding VAT.

Waking Night Responder Service (WNRS)

Lot 3 covers an adult social care service delivered by registered supported living providers to support younger adults with overnight care needs.

Providers appointed to the service are:

• Eildon Ltd
  • Castle Care (Scotland) Ltd
  • Gateway – Highland Homeless Trust
  • Highland Home Carers Ltd

The contract has a value of £1,033,448 excluding VAT.

Contract Details

All three contracts were concluded on 23 June 2026.

The procurement was undertaken using a negotiated procedure without a prior call for competition. NHS Highland stated that services are delivered through collaborations of providers that are already part of existing frameworks, with providers selected following an expression of interest process.

The contracts will support the delivery of adult social care services across Inverness and the wider Highlands and Islands region.
