London’s VRU Boys, Young Men and Future Fathers Support Services

The Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime is seeking providers to deliver a £1.82 million programme of support for boys and young men across London through the Violence Reduction Unit (VRU).

The programme will provide mentoring, training and preventative support designed to strengthen resilience, relationships and positive identity, while helping boys and young men respond to harmful online influences.

Lots Available

The opportunity is divided into three lots:

• Lot 1 – Intensive Mentoring for Care Experienced Young People: £987,657.60 including VAT
• Lot 2 – Training for Fathers, Male carers and Relevant Male Practitioners: £295,218 including VAT
• Lot 3 – Supporting Boys and Young Men in Education Settings: £540,000 including VAT

Lot 1 will provide intensive relationship-based mentoring for care-experienced boys and young men, including those affected by violence, exploitation, social exclusion or involvement with youth justice services.

Lot 2 will provide specialist training and capacity-building for fathers, male carers, foster carers, residential care staff and other adults supporting care-experienced boys and young men.

Lot 3 will deliver preventative support within education settings, including PRUs, Alternative Provision and mainstream secondary schools.
