Walsall Council is inviting providers to tender for a Strength and Balance Service designed to support older adults and people at increased risk of falls, frailty and loss of independence across the borough.
The service will provide targeted preventative health interventions aimed at improving strength, balance, mobility and functional ability. Its wider objectives include reducing falls and associated injuries, promoting healthy ageing and helping people maintain their independence for as long as possible.
Through earlier identification and intervention, the Council also intends the service to help prevent avoidable deterioration, reduce pressure on health and social care services and support people to remain healthy and active within their communities.
The contract is being procured under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023.

The contract covers the Borough of Walsall and has not been divided into separate lots.
Price will not be the only award criterion.
