Abacus Travel and Redraw Travel Appointed to £3.36m Blackpool Transport Framework

Blackpool Borough Council has appointed Abacus Travel and Redraw Travel Ltd to a new framework agreement for the transportation of children, young people and adults.

The ranked framework will provide the council with service providers able to deliver transport using 9 to 16 passenger seat vehicles for children, young people and adults identified by the council.

The framework has a total contract value of £3.36 million including VAT.

The agreement is expected to run from 3 September 2026 to 31 August 2028, with two further one-year extension options available, potentially taking the framework through to 31 August 2030.

Both Abacus Travel and Redraw Travel Ltd are identified as small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the award notice.

A total of two tenders were received and assessed, with both suppliers securing places on the framework.

The award decision was made on 21 August 2026, with the framework expected to be signed no earlier than 3 September 2026.
