Bristol City Council has awarded a contract worth £1,447,509 (excluding VAT) to Addiction Recovery Agency for the delivery of its Higher Needs Floating Support service.
The contract will provide floating support to people with higher support needs and a history of rough sleeping, including those living in unsupported temporary accommodation, moving into private or social tenancies from supported accommodation, leaving prison, being discharged from hospital, or forming part of the legacy Golden Key Housing First cohort.
The service will also establish a Keeping In Touch service, providing remote support and a point of contact for up to a further two years for clients who have progressed from higher support but still require assistance to sustain their wellbeing.
The contract was awarded following an open procedure under the Light Touch regime. A total of 14 tenders were received, with five assessed at the final stage. The award decision was made on 1 July 2026, with the contract expected to be signed on 1 August 2026 following the standstill period.
The agreement is expected to run from 1 October 2026 to 31 March 2029.
