Angus Community Link Worker Service

Angus Council is seeking a provider to deliver the Angus Community Link Worker Service, supporting people aged 16 years and over to improve their health and wellbeing by addressing the non-medical social factors that affect their lives.

Working alongside GP practices and primary care teams, Community Link Workers will provide person-centred, holistic support, helping individuals access local community resources and services that improve wellbeing, reduce health inequalities and promote early intervention.

Service Overview

The successful provider will deliver a Community Link Worker Service for adults aged 16 years and over across Angus.

The service will:

  • Provide person-centred and holistic support.
  • Work alongside GP practices and primary care teams.
  • Help individuals access community resources and support services.
  • Improve health and wellbeing.
  • Reduce health inequalities.
  • Promote earlier intervention by addressing non-medical social factors that impact people’s lives.

This procurement represents the re-procurement of an existing service following a review of service requirements and available funding.

TUPE may apply, with further information provided within the tender documentation.

Deadline: 17 August 2026 – 12:00pm

Contract Value: Maximum budget of £320,000 covering the initial one-year contract period and the optional one-year extension.

Delivery Length: Initial one-year contract with the option to extend for a further one year.

Participation Requirements

Bidders must:

  • Complete a Single Procurement Document (SPD) through Public Contracts Scotland.
  • Meet the financial and insurance requirements detailed within the SPD.
  • Submit pricing for both the initial contract period and the optional extension.
  • Ensure the combined contract value does not exceed £320,000, as tenders exceeding this amount will be excluded.
