NHS Birmingham and Solihull Integrated Care Board and NHS Black Country Integrated Care Board are seeking qualified and experienced providers to deliver Adult and Children & Young People (CYP) Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Autism services across Birmingham, Solihull, and the Black Country.
The procurement exercise is being managed by Arden & Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit acting on behalf of the commissioners through a Direct Award Process B (DAP B).
According to the ICBs, the service aims to provide specialist assessment, diagnostic, and treatment services for adults and CYP with suspected ADHD and/or Autism.
The contract will operate on a cost-per-case basis in line with NHS National Tariffs, with no predicted activity assumptions included within the contract.
The commissioners confirmed that the DAP B process will remain open while the ICBs continue accrediting providers, meaning the procurement timelines may be subject to change.
Providers must demonstrate compliance with Care Quality Commission registration requirements and the CQC Fundamental Standards for Quality & Safety.
For ADHD services, providers must submit:
Providers that are currently in the process of securing CQC registration may still apply, although supporting evidence must be provided.
The ICBs also noted that they reserve the right to require CQC registration for Autism services in the future.
The opportunity reflects continuing NHS demand for specialist neurodevelopmental assessment and support services across adult and CYP pathways within the region.
