13 Providers Appointed to British Council Disability Inclusion Framework

The British Council has appointed 13 providers to a new framework for consultancy on Disability Inclusion.

The six-year open framework is expected to begin on 24 August 2026 and run until 23 August 2032, with an indicative value of £207,720 including VAT.

The British Council states that the budget is indicative and does not represent a guarantee of spend over the life of the framework.

The framework will support the British Council, whose Cultural Engagement Department works across four main areas: Arts, Education, Inclusive Communities, and English and School Education.

Equality, diversity and inclusion sits at the core of the organisation’s work, which includes developing connections and relationships through arts and culture, supporting educational institutions and professionals, working with young people through non-formal education, and improving standards of English language and life skills worldwide.

A total of 13 providers and individual consultants have been appointed to the framework, including:

  • The National Development Team for Inclusion
  • Tim Wheeler Arts
  • University of Salford
  • University of Wolverhampton

The British Council received 28 tenders, with all 28 assessed at the final stage. Of these, 16 were submitted by small and medium-sized enterprises and seven by voluntary, community and social enterprises.

Thirteen suppliers were successful, while 15 were unsuccessful.

The award decision was made on 10 August 2026, with 21 August 2026 stated as the earliest date the contract will be signed.

The framework was procured through an open procedure and covers research and development consultancy services.
