Royal Borough of Greenwich Intends to Award Cookery Clubs Contract to Greenwich Co-operative Development Agency

The Royal Borough of Greenwich has published an intention to award a contract for the delivery of Cookery Clubs across the borough to Greenwich Co-operative Development Agency Limited under the Provider Selection Regime (PSR).

The service will deliver Cookery Clubs aimed at enhancing health awareness and promoting independence for residents across the borough. The authority confirmed that the award is being made under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023, with the Procurement Act not applying to this procurement.

The council selected the existing provider through PSR Direct Award Process C, stating that Greenwich Co-operative Development Agency Limited has satisfactorily delivered the original contract and is expected to continue meeting the required standard. The provider was selected based on its combined score against the authority’s weighted evaluation criteria.

The contract has a lifetime value of £66,650.50 excluding VAT (£79,980.60 including VAT).

The contract is expected to be signed on 30 June 2026. The award notice states the contract is for a period ending 30 September 2026, with the authority also stating it is a six-month contract commencing on 1 April 2026.

The Royal Borough of Greenwich confirmed that the decision to award the contract was approved by the Chief Officer in accordance with its Contract Standing Orders and that no actual or potential conflicts of interest were declared by officers involved in the decision.

Providers wishing to make representations regarding the proposed award must do so by midnight on 9 July 2026.
