West Northamptonshire Oral Health Improvement Service

West Northamptonshire Council is inviting tenders for the delivery of the West Northamptonshire Oral Health Improvement Service. The service is designed to deliver targeted, evidence-based oral health improvement activities aimed at reducing oral health inequalities and improving outcomes for children, young people, vulnerable adults and older people.

The successful provider will deliver a range of preventative oral health initiatives, working with partner organisations and community settings across West Northamptonshire.

Service Overview

The commissioned service will provide targeted oral health improvement activities, including:

• Supervised toothbrushing programmes in early years and school settings
• Oral health training for professionals
• Organisational support for participating settings
• Partnership working across relevant organisations
• Targeted distribution of oral health resources

The service is intended to reduce oral health inequalities through evidence-based prevention and education initiatives.

Buyer – West Northamptonshire Council

Deadline – 28 July 2026 – 12:00pm

Contract Value – £497,752 (excluding VAT)

Delivery Length – 1 September 2026 – 31 August 2028, with the option to extend by up to two further one-year periods (maximum contract term of 4 years)
