Liverpool City Council, through Liverpool Virtual School, is seeking a provider to deliver a clinical psychology-led education support service focused on workforce development and consultation for children in care, previously looked-after children, and children with a social worker.
The service will provide psychology-informed support through trauma-informed and attachment-aware consultation, workforce training, reflective supervision and strategic leadership support. Delivery will be aimed at schools, social care professionals, carers and Liverpool Virtual School staff to strengthen understanding of children’s needs, behaviour, wellbeing and engagement in education.
The Council has confirmed that the service is educational rather than clinical. The successful provider will not be required to deliver therapy, diagnosis or treatment as part of the contract.
The service is intended to improve educational planning, promote inclusive practice, enhance workforce capability and strengthen multi-agency collaboration through psychologically informed approaches.
The contract will provide approximately 88 days of delivery per year over an 11-month period, with an annual contract value of £75,600.

The Council has confirmed that any contract extension will be subject to satisfactory contractor performance, continued service requirements and the availability of funding. Performance considerations will include achievement of agreed outcomes, quality of delivery, responsiveness, stakeholder feedback, contractual compliance, value for money and continued strategic fit.
