Thurrock Floating Support Service – Mental Health and Learning Disabilities

Thurrock Council has published a tender for the provision of a floating support service for residents with poor mental health and/or a learning disability. The service is intended to provide short-term, community-based support that enables people to maintain their independence and remain living safely within their own homes.

The Council is seeking a provider to deliver support for up to two years for individuals with fluctuating needs. The service will focus on prevention, helping residents sustain their tenancies, reduce the risk of homelessness, and improve their ability to live independently within the community.

According to the tender documentation, the floating support service will be delivered across Thurrock and will provide personalised support designed to promote independence while responding to individual needs.

The contract is expected to commence on 1 January 2027 and will run until 31 March 2032, with the option to extend for a further 12 months, creating a potential total contract term of 6 years and 3 months.
