Support for Young Carers and Young Adult Carers in Worcestershire (CSC26009)

Worcestershire County Council is seeking a provider to deliver support services for Young Carers and Young Adult Carers across the county. The service is intended for children and young people aged 18 and under who undertake a caring role for a family member, as well as young adult carers aged 19 to 25 during their transition into adulthood.

The commissioned service aims to reduce inappropriate levels of caring and minimise the impact that caring responsibilities can have on the wellbeing and positive outcomes of children and young people. For young adult carers, the service will provide information and support to help them manage their caring responsibilities while enabling them to maintain their own independence and quality of life during the transition from childhood to adulthood.

The contract will be awarded through an Open Procedure under the Light Touch Regime.
