Specialist Children’s Domestic Abuse Therapeutic Intervention Service

Warrington Borough Council is seeking a provider to deliver specialist therapeutic support for children and young people aged 5 to 19 who have been impacted by domestic abuse.

The service will provide an enhanced support offer across Warrington, with the appointed organisation required to provide staff with clinical experience who can deliver therapeutic interventions tailored to the needs and age of each child or young person.

Provision will include a combination of one-to-one counselling and age-appropriate therapeutic sessions, alongside wider direct and indirect interventions designed around individual needs.

Service Requirements

The successful provider will be expected to deliver a range of support for children and young people affected by domestic abuse.

The service will include:

  • One-to-one counselling
  • Age-appropriate therapeutic sessions
  • Direct interventions tailored to the individual child or young person
  • Indirect interventions responding to individual needs
  • Signposting adults to additional domestic abuse-related services where appropriate

Staff delivering the service must have relevant clinical experience.

The contract covers provision within Warrington and is intended to provide specialist support for children and young people aged between 5 and 19 years.
