Cannock Chase District Council is seeking a supplier to provide private occupational therapy services to support customers referred for assessments of need under the Disabled Facilities Grant framework.

The contract covers occupational therapy assessments and professional support alongside contract administration and training for clients and carers.

Staffordshire County Council is facilitating the procurement process on behalf of Cannock Chase District Council.

Service Requirements

The appointed supplier will be responsible for delivering:

  • General contract administration
  • Occupational Therapy (OT) assessments
  • OT professional support
  • Training for clients and carers delivered by an Occupational Therapist

The service will support the Council in responding to customer referrals for assessments of need under the Disabled Facilities Grant framework.

The procurement falls under CPV 85000000 – Health and social work services and covers Staffordshire CC (UKG24).

Professional and Regulatory Requirements

Conditions of participation include:

  • Royal College of Occupational Therapists membership, or equivalent
  • Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration

The opportunity is identified as particularly suitable for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community and social enterprises (VCSEs).

The contract provides an opportunity for occupational therapy providers to support Cannock Chase District Council’s Disabled Facilities Grant assessment process through professional assessments, specialist support and client and carer training, with the potential for a contract period of up to six years.
