Provision of a Community Tier 2 Gynaecology Service on behalf of Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care Board

NHS Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care Board is seeking a provider to deliver a Community Tier 2 Gynaecology Service across Lancashire and South Cumbria.

The procurement aims to commission a long-term service designed to support current demand and capacity for secondary care gynaecology services. The contract will provide a non-consultant-led, community-based service offering assessment, diagnosis and non-surgical treatment for routine benign gynaecological conditions.

The service will be delivered across the Integrated Care Board’s operational footprint, covering:

  • Central and West Lancashire
  • South Cumbria and North Lancashire
  • Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre
  • East Lancashire and Blackburn with Darwen

To support clinical equity, standardised governance and integrated patient pathways, the contract will be awarded as a single contract to one prime provider.

The procurement allows collaborative delivery through consortia or subcontracting arrangements. However, the appointed prime provider will retain full contractual responsibility and accountability for service delivery.
