The London Borough of Southwark is seeking a provider to coordinate the Southwark Community Health Ambassador Programme, which has been running since 2020. The programme supports Southwark residents by building trust in health and other statutory services, improving access to accurate health information, and strengthening engagement between communities and local services.
The successful provider will be responsible for coordinating the programme, which recruits and manages volunteers and maintains a small pool of casual workers to support specific health improvement activities. The service also aims to ensure health messages are accessible and appropriate for diverse communities, facilitate resident feedback into statutory services, and identify opportunities to work collaboratively with partners to enhance community programmes and projects.
