NHS Humber and North Yorkshire Integrated Care Board and NHS West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board have launched a procurement for the delivery of Area Based Urgent Dental Treatment Service (AUDT) across West Yorkshire, Humber and North Yorkshire. The procurement is being undertaken under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023 and is divided into nine geographical lots.
The service will provide urgent dental treatment across the region, with contracts commencing on 1 April 2027 following a competitive procurement managed by North of England Commissioning Support (NECS).

The successful providers will deliver area-based urgent dental treatment services under an initial five-year contract with the option of a further two-year extension, subject to satisfactory performance.

The contracting authorities have confirmed that price is not the only award criterion. Full evaluation criteria are set out within the procurement documentation.
The procurement is being undertaken under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023.
The procurement documentation also advises that TUPE may apply to the contract, and providers are expected to undertake appropriate legal and commercial due diligence where applicable.
The procurement is being managed electronically through the Atamis procurement portal, with all communications and tender submissions completed online.
Competition documentation is available through the procurement portal, and providers may submit responses for one or multiple geographical lots in accordance with the procurement rules.
