NHS-676-Adult Shared Lives Service

NHS Highland is seeking a provider to deliver an Adult Shared Lives Service for adults and young adults living across the Highland Council area, excluding Argyll and Bute. The service will provide Shared Lives placements that enable people with eligible social care needs to live in a family-based environment or access regular short break arrangements that support unpaid carers.

The commissioned service will support adults aged 18 and over, together with young adults aged 16 and over, through either long-term placements or regular caring arrangements designed to provide respite for unpaid carers.

Service Details

The Adult Shared Lives Service will deliver placements for individuals with a range of social care needs, including:

• Physical disabilities and/or sensory impairment
• Learning disabilities and/or autistic spectrum conditions
• Mental health needs
• Any combination of the above

Support will be provided through:

• Long-term Shared Lives placements
• Regular caring arrangements to provide short breaks for unpaid carers

The service will be delivered across the Highland Council area, excluding Argyll and Bute.
