NENC100 Integrated Podiatry Service in South Tyneside and Sunderland

NHS North East and North Cumbria Integrated Care Board (ICB) is seeking to commission an Integrated Podiatry Service for South Tyneside and Sunderland through an open competition under the Healthcare Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. The contract covers the delivery of an integrated podiatry service across the two local authority areas.

The contract will commence on 1 April 2027 for an initial five-year term, with an option for the ICB to extend the agreement for a further two years, subject to satisfactory contractual and financial performance. The procurement is being conducted under the Provider Selection Regime (PSR), with the Procurement Act 2023 not applying to this award.

The contract is not divided into lots.

Regulatory Information

This procurement is being conducted under the Healthcare Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023 (PSR). The contracting authority confirms that the provisions of the Procurement Act 2023 do not apply to this contract award.

The contracting authority has advised that the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 2006 (TUPE) may apply to the contract. Providers are advised to undertake their own due diligence, including consideration of the New Fair Deal policy relating to pension arrangements where applicable.

This opportunity provides providers with the chance to deliver an integrated podiatry service across South Tyneside and Sunderland under a long-term NHS contract commissioned by the North East and North Cumbria Integrated Care Board.
