ITT: NNICB Longer Term Therapeutic Treatment for Children

NHS Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Integrated Care Board (ICB) is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced provider to deliver a Longer Term Therapeutic Treatment Service for children and young people who are survivors of sexual abuse.

The service will provide therapeutic support to children and young people aged 17 and under who have experienced sexual abuse or sexual exploitation, alongside support for their non-abusing parents or carers.

The commission is intended to reduce the impact of abuse on children and young people’s mental health and emotional wellbeing while building resilience, supporting healthier relationships and reducing vulnerability to further abuse.

Service Requirements

The appointed provider will be expected to deliver therapeutic support that responds to the individual needs of children and young people and their families.

The service aims to:

• Provide therapeutic support to children and young people aged 17 and under who are victims or survivors of sexual abuse or sexual exploitation
• Support non-abusing parents and carers to minimise the impact of abuse on the child or young person’s mental health and emotional wellbeing
• Build resilience and improve the prospect of positive outcomes while reducing vulnerability to further abuse
• Support service users to access specialist services where continuing or additional needs are identified
• Provide a seamless experience where children, young people or their families need to transition to another service
• Adapt provision appropriately for children and young people with protected characteristics
• Support children and young people to develop healthy and trusting relationships
• Improve emotional, psychological and physical wellbeing
• Increase the knowledge and understanding of parents and carers around supporting and protecting their child or young person

The service will operate across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.
