ITT Lung Cancer Screening Programme on behalf of NHS Derby and Derbyshire ICB

NHS Derby and Derbyshire Integrated Care Board is inviting suitably qualified and experienced providers to deliver its Lung Cancer Screening Programme through a Competitive Process under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023.

The programme forms part of the Cancer Alliance’s early diagnosis programme and is funded by the Lung Cancer Screening (LCS) National Team. Its aim is to improve early diagnosis of lung cancer by identifying people at increased risk, inviting them for a Lung Health Check (LHC) and, where eligible, providing a low dose CT (LDCT) scan.

The successful provider will be expected to:

• Deliver the Lung Cancer Screening Programme across Derbyshire and Derbyshire.
• Identify people at increased risk of lung cancer.
• Invite eligible individuals to attend a Lung Health Check (LHC).
• Arrange low dose CT (LDCT) scans where individuals meet the eligibility criteria.
• Deliver services from 1 March 2027.

The contract will be awarded for an initial period of three years, with the option for the Commissioner to extend the agreement by up to one further year.

The procurement includes an affordability threshold. The maximum contract values available are:

• Year 1: £3,465,272 (excluding VAT)
• Year 2: £3,804,944 (excluding VAT)
• Year 3: £5,499,236 (excluding VAT)
• Year 4 (optional extension): £3,280,336 (excluding VAT)

Bids exceeding these values will be disqualified.
