The General Medical Council (GMC) is seeking to appoint a provider to deliver an independent and impartial Freedom to Speak Up Guardian provision across the organisation.
The contract has an estimated value of £400,000 excluding VAT and will initially run for two years, with the option for two further 12-month extensions. If both extensions are exercised, the arrangement could continue until October 2030.
The requirement is classified under business and management consultancy and related services and covers the United Kingdom.
The GMC has identified the opportunity as particularly suitable for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community and social enterprises (VCSEs).
The appointed provider will be responsible for delivering an independent and impartial Freedom to Speak Up Guardian provision for the GMC.

The deadline for supplier enquiries is 26 August 2026 at 12:00pm, with the GMC currently estimating that an award decision will be made on 7 October 2026.
