Extra Care Housing, Care and Support Service – Market Engagement

Cheshire East Council is inviting providers to participate in a market engagement exercise to help inform the future procurement of Extra Care Housing, Care and Support Services across the borough.

Extra Care Housing services provide purpose-built accommodation that enables older people to maintain their independence through their own tenancy while living within a supportive community environment. The schemes combine opportunities for social engagement with access to on-site care and support services.

The Council currently commissions continuous on-site care provision across four Extra Care Housing schemes. These contracts are due to expire on 31 August 2027, with a procurement for future contracts expected to go live in February 2027.

As part of its service development, the Council is seeking feedback from providers with experience of delivering care within Extra Care Housing settings. Interested organisations are invited to express an interest in Project ID DN824654 to access, download and complete the market engagement survey.

Completed questionnaires must be returned to CE.Contracts@cheshireeast.gov.uk by 17:00 on Thursday 27 August 2026.
