Children’s rights, advocacy and independent visitors

Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking a provider to deliver children’s rights, advocacy and independent visitor services for children and young people across Stockport.

The service will support children and young people aged 0 to 25 who have a Social Worker or Personal Adviser, helping the Council meet its statutory responsibilities for advocacy and independent visitor provision.

Eligible groups will include children and young people:

• Subject to a Team around the Child Plan at Tier 3
• Subject to a Child Protection Plan
• Who are looked after
• Who have a Pathway Plan
• Who are care leavers with a Personal Adviser

The contract has an estimated value of £175,000 excluding VAT.

The procurement is reserved for suppliers from Greater Manchester and SMEs and voluntary, community and social enterprises (VCSEs).

Evaluation Criteria

The contract will be awarded on the basis of the Most Advantageous Tender, using a combination of quality and price criteria.
