Gloucestershire County Council Awards £7.8 Million Adult Unpaid Carers Support Contract

Gloucestershire County Council has awarded a contract for the provision of its Adults Unpaid Carers Support Service to PeoplePlus Group Limited.

The contract has a value of £7,803,600 excluding VAT (£9,364,320 including VAT) and was awarded following an open procedure under the Light Touch Regime.

The service will support unpaid carers aged 18 and over across Gloucestershire. It will provide personalised support, encourage carers to register with the service, help deliver the outcomes of the Carers Partnership Board Action Plan, and work with carers and stakeholders to meet identified outcomes.

The agreement is expected to commence on 1 October 2026 and run until 30 September 2031.

The contract includes the option to extend for up to two years, potentially taking the agreement through to 30 September 2033, at the Council’s discretion.
