Provision of housing related support for people living at An Lac House in Cambridge
Cambridgeshire County Council
Location: South East England
Kent County Council is seeking providers to deliver the Kent Integrated Family Domestic Abuse Service (KIFDAS), bringing together previously fragmented domestic abuse contracts under a single, coordinated commissioning arrangement. The opportunity has an estimated total value of £28,130,320.50 excluding VAT and aims to provide a consistent, person-centred pathway of support for victims and survivors of domestic abuse across Kent.
The procurement is divided into five lots, covering training, education and awareness, alongside safe accommodation and community-based support across four geographical areas.
The contract is divided into five lots:
For Lots 2–5, providers will be responsible for sourcing accommodation. The accommodation itself will be funded through individual residents’ Housing Benefit contributions rather than Kent County Council’s service funding.
All lot values are estimated and exclude VAT. The detailed service specifications and award requirements are set out in the procurement documents.
The opportunity is open to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community and social enterprises (VCSEs).
Providers should review the relevant tender documents to establish the full participation requirements and demonstrate their ability to deliver the services specified for their chosen lot or lots.
For Lots 2–5, providers must be able to deliver safe accommodation support to victims and survivors living in refuges and in their own homes where a Sanctuary Scheme has been applied. Services must also include community-based support for victims and survivors aged 16 and over, regardless of risk level, with support extending to accompanying babies, children and young people.
Successful providers for these lots will be responsible for sourcing suitable accommodation, with the accommodation costs funded through residents’ Housing Benefit contributions.
Lot 1 providers should be able to deliver relevant training, education and awareness activities to improve understanding of domestic abuse, encourage early identification and strengthen coordinated responses across professional and community settings.
Specific participation conditions, service requirements and evaluation arrangements are detailed in the associated tender documents.
The deadline on 13 November 2026 is for requests to participate, rather than a final tender submission deadline. Further procurement stages and instructions are available through the Kent Business Portal.
This opportunity may be relevant to domestic abuse charities, specialist support providers, accommodation-based service operators and organisations delivering training and awareness programmes. The five-lot structure provides opportunities to focus on specific geographical areas or the county-wide training service. Interested providers should review the procurement documents carefully to confirm eligibility, service expectations and the requirements for progressing through the competitive procurement process.
