Glasgow City Council is inviting tenders from suppliers to provide private rented sector accommodation and associated housing management services for people experiencing homelessness. The properties will be used as temporary furnished accommodation for individuals, couples and families with children across Glasgow.
The contract has an estimated total value of £177,706,635 excluding VAT, with the Council intending to award up to four separate contracts.
Suppliers must provide private rented sector accommodation and a complete property management service to support the Council’s temporary accommodation obligations.
The published award criteria are weighted as follows:
Bidders scoring zero in any quality question will be excluded. The Council may also exclude bids depending on low scores across quality questions, as specified in the notice.
This opportunity may suit letting agents, property management businesses and accommodation providers capable of supplying and managing a substantial portfolio of temporary furnished properties. Suppliers should assess the property-volume commitments, financial thresholds, insurance requirements and community benefit obligations before bidding.
