Children & Young People’s Homecare & Sitting Service (Short Breaks Specialist) Lot 1; and Children and Young People’s Outreach Support Service (Short Breaks Specialist) Lot 2

The Borough Council of Calderdale is seeking providers to deliver specialist short breaks services for disabled children and young people through two lots. The services aim to promote wellbeing, independence and safety while providing parents and carers with respite and helping sustain family-based care arrangements.

Service Lots

The opportunity is divided into two lots:

• Lot 1 – Children & Young People’s Home Care and Sitting Service: £282,180 excluding VAT (£338,616 including VAT). Home-based support delivered in a child or young person’s own home during the day or overnight, providing care and sitting services.
• Lot 2 – Children & Young People’s Outreach Support Service: £3,748,650 excluding VAT (£4,498,380 including VAT). Planned, personalised one-to-one support, with higher staff ratios where assessed, to help children and young people develop independence, increase social inclusion and participate in home and community activities.
