Healthcare Quality Improvement Partnership Ltd (HQIP) is seeking a provider to deliver the National Early Inflammatory Autoimmune Diseases Audit, initially covering NHS-funded care in England and Wales and publicly funded care in Jersey.
The national clinical audit will support healthcare quality improvement by benchmarking the organisation, delivery and outcomes of care against relevant national guidance and standards, including NICE Quality Standard QS33 for Rheumatoid Arthritis in Adults and QS214 for Rare Diseases.
Key requirements include continuous prospective clinical audit, near real-time interactive reporting, annual national reporting, benchmarking and outlier identification, patient and public involvement, quality improvement support and the incorporation of validated Patient Reported Outcome Measures.
The provider will also be required to develop and maintain a minimum viable paediatric inflammatory arthritis pathway, with an initial focus on areas including referral, diagnosis and treatment timelines. Future development is expected to take account of updated GIRFT Paediatric Inflammatory Arthritis Pathway guidance.

The additional aspirational requirements are not guaranteed and may be introduced fully, partially or not at all, subject to need and available funding. Potential areas include additional audits, new data collection and operational models, enhanced data linkages, expansion of CYP pathway metrics and further quality improvement initiatives.
