Telford & Wrekin Awards £918k Camberwell Lodge Care Home Contract

The Borough of Telford & Wrekin has awarded a spot contract to Country Court Care Homes 2 Limited for the provision of residential and nursing care at Camberwell Lodge Nursing & Care Home.

The contract covers the placement of an individual requiring care and support, including accommodation, personal care, meals and drinks, medication, laundry and support with day-to-day living.

Country Court Care Homes 2 Limited has been awarded the contract with a value of £917,664 excluding VAT.

The contract is expected to run for eight years, from 21 September 2026 until 20 September 2034.

The contract was directly awarded under the light-touch regime on the basis of user choice. The council stated that its standard frameworks were unable to meet the identified need and that, following consultation with the individual and authorised representatives, only one provider could accommodate the requirements and the individual’s wishes, including the location of care.
