Westway Trust Wins £900k North Kensington Wellbeing Support Contract

NHS West and North London Integrated Care Board has awarded Westway Trust a £900,000 contract to deliver the North Kensington Recovery Wellbeing Support Lead service.

The service forms part of the North Kensington Recovery Programme, providing health and wellbeing support for communities affected by the Grenfell Tower fire.

Westway Trust will coordinate and oversee a community-based wellbeing offer delivered through a grant-funded model. Its responsibilities include managing the allocation and distribution of funding to community-based wellbeing services, supporting referral pathways, promoting the offer through trusted community networks, and ensuring services are accessible, culturally relevant and responsive to changing need.

The service will operate in line with trauma-informed practice and community-led recovery principles, working collaboratively across the voluntary, community and faith sector, NHS and wider local system.

The three-year contract is valued at £900,000 excluding VAT, or £1.08 million including VAT. The estimated contract period runs from 23 October 2026 to 22 October 2029.

Five tenders were received and assessed, with all five submitted by SMEs and three by voluntary, community and social enterprises. Westway Trust, which is identified as both an SME and VCSE, was selected as the successful supplier.

The award decision was made on 24 August 2026 following a competitive light touch procurement under the Procurement Act 2023. The standstill period is due to end on 9 September 2026, with the contract expected to be signed no earlier than 28 September 2026.
