The Council of the Borough of Kirklees is seeking a provider to deliver early intervention and prevention support for families across Kirklees.
The service will promote, coordinate and facilitate the National Healthy Start scheme, alongside providing accident prevention advice, home interventions and preventative equipment.
Delivery will contribute to Healthy Child Programme priorities including transition to parenthood, breastfeeding, healthy weight and nutrition, health literacy, managing minor illnesses and reducing accidents.
The opportunity is identified as particularly suitable for SMEs and voluntary, community and social enterprises (VCSEs).
The procurement will be evaluated on 100% Key Criteria, including:
Suppliers must also demonstrate financial viability, including annual turnover of at least £166,500 and positive net worth.
The opportunity provides a long-term contract for organisations delivering preventative family and public health support, with a particular focus on early intervention and reducing health inequalities.
