West Sussex County Council Awards Housing Related Support Services Contracts Across 12 Lots

West Sussex County Council has awarded a series of contracts for the delivery of Housing Related Support Services across the county.

The procurement is split into two lots covering Accommodation Based Support Services and Floating and Resettlement Support Services, with services delivered across district and borough areas including Adur & Worthing, Arun, Chichester, Crawley, Horsham and Mid Sussex.

The contracts are scheduled to commence on 1 September 2026 and run until 31 March 2028, with the option to extend for a further 24 months, potentially taking the agreements through to 31 March 2030.

Successful Providers

Contracts have been awarded to five organisations across the accommodation-based services and one organisation across the floating and resettlement services.

Lot 1 – Accommodation Based Support Services

• BHT Sussex – Mid Sussex (£573,333.33)
• Bognor Housing Trust – Lot 1B Arun (£363,314.17)
• Crawley Open House – Crawley (£967,320.83)
• Turning Tides Homelessness – Adur & Worthing (£573,329.75)

Lot 2 – Floating and Resettlement Support Services

Southdown Housing Association has been awarded contracts covering:

• Adur & Worthing (£623,715)
• Arun (£386,641.67)
• Chichester (£386,641.67)
• Horsham (£386,641.67)
• Mid Sussex (£386,641.67)
• Crawley (£571,541.67)

Supporting Housing Related Services

The contracts will provide accommodation-based support services alongside floating and resettlement support services across West Sussex, with services delivered through district and borough area-based sub-lots.

Procurement Process

The contracts were awarded following an open procedure under the Light Touch Regime.

For both Lot 1 and Lot 2, seven tenders were received, with five progressing to the final assessment stage. Across both lots, one submission came from a small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) and four from voluntary, community and social enterprises (VCSEs).

The award decision was made on 31 July 2026, with assessment summaries issued to tenderers the same day. The standstill period ends on 12 August 2026, with contracts expected to be signed from 13 August 2026.
