Waltham Forest Appoints 34 Providers to Children’s Short Breaks Services Framework

The London Borough of Waltham Forest has awarded a framework agreement for the provision of Short Breaks Services for Children with Disabilities, with an estimated value of £2.236 million excluding VAT (£2.795 million including VAT).

The framework covers four service areas designed to support children and young people with disabilities living in the borough:

  • Lot 1: Outreach Support
  • Lot 2: Group Activities
  • Lot 3: Overnight Stays Away from Home
  • Lot 4: Other Short Break Services / Activities

A total of 34 providers have been appointed to the framework following an open procurement process. The successful providers are:

The framework is expected to run from 13 August 2026 until 31 March 2027. The council has reserved the right to re-open the framework during its lifetime, either every six months or where existing providers cannot meet service requirements.

The award decision was made on 13 July 2026, with contracts expected to be signed from 12 August 2026. The framework will support the delivery of outreach support, group activities, overnight breaks and other short break services for children and young people with disabilities across the London Borough of Waltham Forest.
