Recruitment
Oaklawn has promoted Zach Chapman to the role of Chief Operating Officer as the healthcare organisation strengthens its executive leadership team.
Chapman, who has served as Executive Director of the Oaklawn Medical Group since joining the organisation in 2022, will officially transition into the role on 14 September. He will continue leading the Medical Group until a replacement is appointed to help ensure continuity for staff and patients.
The Chief Operating Officer position has been vacant since 2021. In his new role, Chapman will oversee hospital operations, organisational performance and operational strategy, working alongside the executive team to support Oaklawn’s long-term priorities.
Before joining Oaklawn, Chapman held senior leadership positions at Gateway Regional Medical Center in Illinois and has more than 20 years’ experience in healthcare management. During his time at Oaklawn, he has led operational improvements, supported service expansion and overseen the Medical Group’s network of more than 100 providers across 15 locations.
Oaklawn’s incoming President and Chief Executive Officer, Dr Summer Liston-Crandall, said Chapman was selected following an extensive recruitment process and praised his operational experience, knowledge of the organisation and commitment to delivering high-quality care.
