Carers Support Service Lot 1 Retender

Cornwall Council, in partnership with NHS Cornwall & Isles of Scilly Integrated Care Board (ICB), is seeking to appoint a provider to deliver the Core Carers Service (Lot 1) across Cornwall.

This procurement relates exclusively to Lot 1 of the wider Carers Support Service programme, with Lots 2–5 commissioned separately. The successful provider will deliver an all-age, family-focused, place-based and preventative service, supporting unpaid carers to maintain their wellbeing, sustain their caring responsibilities and access timely information, advice and support.

Service Overview

The Core Carers Service will:

  • Deliver an all-age, family-focused and preventative carers support service.
  • Provide community-based support through Carer Advisors aligned to Integrated Neighbourhood Teams.
  • Support unpaid carers to maintain their health and wellbeing.
  • Help carers sustain their caring role.
  • Provide timely information, advice and practical support.
  • Work collaboratively with partners as part of an integrated carers support model.
  • Contribute to the strategic development and coordination of carers services across Cornwall.

This procurement relates only to Lot 1, with the remaining service lots commissioned separately.

Procurement Information

The procurement is being undertaken under the Procurement Act 2023 using the Open Procedure within the Light Touch regime.
