Notice of Intention to Award under the Provider Selection Regime - Competitive Process: 2425-0609 Integrated Community Drug and Alcohol Service
Turning Point (Services) Limited
East of England
Babergh District Council and Mid Suffolk District Council intend to award two contracts for the provision of Temporary Accommodation Services.
The contracts cover the provision of hotel rooms to support temporary accommodation services for individuals and households requiring emergency housing support.
CAMERON VENTURES (CEDARS) LIMITED has been awarded Contract 1, valued at £758,470 excluding VAT(£910,164 including VAT).
CAMERON VENTURES (IPSWICH) LIMITED has been awarded Contract 2, valued at £768,740 excluding VAT(£922,488 including VAT).
Both contracts are expected to commence on 3 August 2026 and run until 2 August 2027.
The contracts were awarded by direct award on the grounds of extreme and unavoidable urgency. The award notice states that the contracts are required to ensure the councils can continue to meet their statutory homelessness and housing duties through the provision of temporary accommodation. It also states that previous market engagement failed to generate sufficient supplier interest or a viable competitive solution, making a direct award necessary to secure immediate accommodation capacity and maintain continuity of service.
Full details of the contract award can be found on the UK Government procurement portal.
