GENERAL PRACTICE PRIMARY CARE MEDICAL SERVICES AT MEDDYGFA’R SARN

Hywel Dda University Health Board is inviting bids from partnerships to deliver General Practice Primary Care Medical Services at Meddygfa’r Sarn under either a General Medical Services (GMS) or Alternative Provider of Medical Services (APMS) contract.

The practice is currently managed by Hywel Dda University Health Board and provides services to approximately 4,300 patients from premises in Pontyates. The practice forms part of the Amman Gwendraeth Cluster and is supported by Prince Philip Hospital, Llanelli, and Glangwili General Hospital, Carmarthen. The Health Board intends to return the practice to independent contractor status from 1 April 2027.

The procurement covers the provision of primary medical services within the Meddygfa’r Sarn area and is being undertaken through an open procedure under the Provider Selection Regime (Wales).
