RAFA Kidz Awarded RAF Marham Nursery and Childcare Contract

The Ministry of Defence has awarded RAFA Kidz Limited the contract to deliver early years and childcare provision at RAF Marham following a competitive procurement.

The contract covers the operation of the nursery and childcare setting at RAF Marham, providing care and early education for children aged 0–11 years. The purpose-built facility, located outside the wire at the Norfolk station, currently operates year-round from 07:00 to 18:00, offering up to 186 childcare places alongside full-day, part-time, sessional and wraparound childcare to support service families. The setting also delivers funded early education for children aged 9 months and over.

The contract is expected to commence on 1 September 2026 and run until 31 August 2031, with an optional two-year extension that could extend the agreement to 31 August 2033.

The procurement formed Lot 2 of the Ministry of Defence’s nursery provision tender, which also included RAF Cranwell. Suppliers were able to bid for one or both lots through a below-threshold open competition conducted under the Concession regime.

Four tenders were received for the RAF Marham lot, with two progressing to the final evaluation stage. RAFA Kidz Limited, an SME, was selected as the successful provider.
