City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council has awarded a contract to Alpha Biolaboratories Legal Limited for the provision of mandatory drug, alcohol and DNA testing services.
The contract will support the council in fulfilling legal requirements mandated by the courts, where the Local Authority is instructed to carry out drug and alcohol testing as part of ongoing care proceedings.
The contract has a value of £60,000 excluding VAT (£72,000 including VAT) and commenced on 29 June 2026, running until 31 March 2027.
The contract was awarded through a below-threshold procurement without competition under the light touch regime. The award decision and earliest contract signature date were both 29 June 2026.
